It's better than D3's story but that isn't saying much as the D3 story was really bad. Let alone any of the 5 star gems that people will tell you are possible. And that's over like 500 combined hours of playing. If some jackass tells you it is possible, just know that you have better odds of winning megamillions jackpot before winning any of those items they are tell you are 'possible.' Me and a couple free to play friends have never even seen a single 3 star gem drop.

Gear drops are terrible, and some items are impossible to get. There is no such thing as skill, every encounter ends up boiling into the question 'Do you have enough combat rating?' But if you don't, you can never be good enough. So if you've got the combat rating, the ability won't kill you before you kill it. They accomplish this by making you do reduced damage and the boss doing increased damage and having abilities that are impossible to avoid. If it's not high enough, it will be impossible.

If it's high enough, you'll face roll something. You get 'combat rating' which is kinda like ilvl if you play WoW. So if you don't play into paragons, prepare to never be challenged by anything. I picked the unanimous worst class in the game and just facerolled everything anyways. But before it becomes impossible, it's the easiest shit you've ever done. As I mentioned earlier, much of the content is just impossible. And if you don't click on it, eventually it'll disappear and you'll never get it. You have to navigate through a dozen windows to click on something to actually get it. If you earn something the game won't just give it to you. Not a problem I guess if you don't plan on playing into paragons. At first it isn't too bad, but as you progress deeper into end game it becomes increasingly difficult until it's impossible to progress. Meaning you can farm forever if you want, you'll never get things if it hasn't passed to the next day, then you'll only get one.Ĭontent is balanced around gear you literally can't get.
